This wedding was a little bit extra special to me.. My big brother Tom, and his gorgeous wife Crystal finally said “I do”! It was such an honour to officiate their ceremony and get to witness so much happiness within my family.
Their ceremony was originally meant to be at the end of February. With the uncertainty at the time they chose to bring their wedding forward and have a small ceremony and celebration with family rather than pushing out their date.
It was such a beautiful and quaint afternoon at Fairfield House in Nelson. The ceremony was held in the courtyard which had the most beautiful brick surface - it made for a stunning photo looking down from the top of the tower.
Anyone who knows me well knows that I’m a bit of a softie… After Tom and Crystal’s wedding I had to purchase some waterproof mascara so that in future I don’t look like a panda!
Tom and Crystal spent 3 years living in Scotland where they basically tripped around whiskey distilleries. As you can imagine a love for whiskey was installed. As a tribute to this obsession it was only appropriate that they shared a dram after signing their marriage document - love!
Thanks for asking me to be your celebrant, Tom and Crystal! The best day ever xx
